Product Description

The POULAN 530058709 is a replacement purge bulb designed to prime the carburetor on small gas-powered outdoor power equipment. Pressing the bulb manually pushes fuel from the tank into the carburetor circuit, clearing air pockets and enabling reliable cold starts. This part is a direct OEM-style replacement installed by small-engine technicians and experienced DIYers during carburetor service or routine maintenance. The 530058709 is a common wear item that cracks or hardens over time due to fuel exposure and UV degradation, making periodic replacement a standard part of equipment upkeep.

This purge bulb is used on POULAN brand gas-powered handheld and walk-behind outdoor power equipment. Typical install scenarios include carburetor rebuilds, seasonal service, and no-start troubleshooting where a cracked or non-seating bulb is identified as the root cause of hard starting or fuel delivery failure. It is suited for residential and light commercial maintenance applications.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a qualified small-engine technician or a knowledgeable DIYer familiar with carburetor service. Before beginning, disconnect the spark plug wire to prevent accidental engine start and relieve any residual fuel pressure in the line. Removal typically requires a small flathead screwdriver or needle-nose pliers to release the retaining ring or snap-in seat.
