Product Description

The NORDICTRACK 164574 is an OEM-style idler arm spring designed for use in NordicTrack fitness equipment. The idler arm spring maintains proper belt tension on the drive or resistance system, ensuring consistent performance during operation. When this spring weakens, stretches, or breaks, belt slippage and uneven resistance can result. Replacement with the correct spring restores proper tension and extends the service life of surrounding drivetrain components. This part is typically installed by fitness equipment technicians or experienced DIY users performing preventive maintenance or component-level repair.

The 164574 idler arm spring is used in NordicTrack fitness machines that rely on an idler arm assembly to regulate belt or drive tension. It is a direct replacement for a worn or failed spring in the idler arm mechanism. Typical install scenarios include routine maintenance intervals or reactive repairs following belt-skipping or loss of resistance feedback during exercise.
