Product Description

The ABB thaux64d is an auxiliary switch accessory designed for use with ABB Spec-Setter safety switches. Auxiliary switches provide a secondary contact mechanism that signals the open or closed position of the main switch to a control circuit or monitoring system. This component is rated for use across the 60-200 amp range, making it suitable for both residential service equipment and light commercial panel configurations. Licensed electricians install this type of accessory during switch assembly or field retrofit to enable remote indication or interlock functionality within a broader electrical system.

The thaux64d is suited for installation on ABB safety switches used in residential and light commercial applications. It supports low-voltage control circuit integration, allowing the main switch status to be communicated to building automation systems, generator transfer logic, or alarm circuits. Typical installations occur in load centers, disconnect enclosures, and service entrance equipment where switch-state monitoring is required by code or system design.
