Product Description

The ABB 58165 is a 4/0 AWG copper compression lug designed for welding cable terminations in electrical power distribution applications. Built for single-hole mounting, this lug provides a secure, low-resistance connection between heavy-gauge welding cable and terminal points. The yellow color coding indicates conductor size compatibility at a glance, reducing wiring errors during installation. Copper construction ensures excellent conductivity and long-term corrosion resistance. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians typically install this type of lug in panel boards, switchgear, welding equipment, and heavy-duty power circuits.

This lug is suited for 4/0 AWG welding cable in both commercial and industrial settings. Single-hole mounting makes it appropriate for bus bars, terminal strips, and equipment studs where a compact, secure mechanical connection is required. The yellow color band identifies the 4/0 conductor range, helping technicians sort and verify terminations quickly during high-volume wiring work.

Key Features

4/0 AWG welding cable compatibility for heavy-duty power circuits
Copper construction provides high conductivity and corrosion resistance
Single-hole barrel mounting for secure, space-efficient termination
Yellow color coding identifies conductor size range at a glance
Compression-style lug design ensures low-resistance mechanical connection

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit copper lug for 4/0 AWG welding cable termination applications in commercial and industrial electrical installations.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements for conductor terminations. Always de-energize and lock out the circuit before installing or removing lugs. Use a calibrated compression tool rated for the lug barrel size to achieve a proper crimp. Do not over-crimp or use substitute tooling, as improper compression can increase resistance and cause overheating at the connection point.
