Product Description

The ECHO 17501704631 is a replacement clutch shoe designed for use in ECHO-brand outdoor power equipment. The clutch shoe is a core component of the centrifugal clutch assembly, engaging the clutch drum when engine RPM rises above idle and disengaging when the engine returns to idle speed. This mechanical action protects the operator and driven attachment during startup and stall conditions. Licensed small-engine technicians and outdoor power equipment dealers routinely handle this replacement as part of clutch assembly service or following wear-related failure.

This clutch shoe is suited for ECHO handheld and backpack power equipment where a centrifugal clutch system is used, including chain saws, trimmers, blowers, and similar outdoor power tools. It is intended as a direct OEM replacement part, restoring proper clutch engagement and disengagement behavior to units that have experienced clutch shoe wear, glazing, or breakage. Consult the equipment model's parts diagram to confirm correct fitment before installation.

Key Features

OEM ECHO replacement clutch shoe for centrifugal clutch assemblies
Restores proper clutch engagement and disengagement at correct RPM thresholds

Installation Notes

Clutch shoe replacement on small outdoor power equipment should be performed by a qualified small-engine technician. Before beginning service, disconnect the spark plug wire and allow the engine to cool completely. A clutch removal tool specific to the equipment's crankshaft thread direction is typically required to remove the clutch drum and access the clutch assembly. Refer to the ECHO service manual for the applicable model for correct assembly sequence and fastener specifications.
