Product Description

The HONDA 28442-zm3-003 is a recoil starter spring designed as an OEM replacement component for small engine recoil starter assemblies. This spring stores and releases mechanical energy each time the starter rope is pulled, returning the rope and pulley to their resting position after each start attempt. It is a critical component in the recoil starter mechanism and is sourced directly from Honda to meet original factory specifications. Technicians and equipment service professionals handling Honda-powered lawn and garden equipment will encounter this part during routine starter assembly service and repair.

This recoil starter spring is used in Honda small engine applications, including lawn and garden power equipment. It is installed within the recoil starter housing and must function correctly to ensure reliable engine starting. Service professionals working on Honda-powered walk-behind mowers, tillers, and similar outdoor power equipment will install this part when the existing spring is broken, fatigued, or has lost its tension and no longer returns the starter rope properly.
