Product Description

The HOMELITE 996613001 is a trailing shield designed as a protective guard component for outdoor power equipment. The trailing shield mounts to the rear of compatible string trimmers or brushcutters, covering the cutting line arc to help contain debris and reduce operator exposure to ejected material. Licensed technicians and equipment repair shops handling Homelite lawn and garden equipment service and replace this part during routine maintenance or following damage from impact with hard objects.

This trailing shield is used on Homelite-branded string trimmers and outdoor cutting equipment. It serves a safety-critical function in residential and light commercial lawn care applications, shielding the operator from debris generated during line trimming. Replacement is typically required when the shield becomes cracked, broken, or missing, conditions that may render the equipment unsafe to operate.
