Manual cruise control: The Easy Cruise is a moulded nylon clamp that closes on your throttle grip and holds the position you set, giving a bike with no cruise control a manual one, so your hand can relax and you eliminate wrist strain on long rides.
Tension gear is the hold: The silver tension gear sets how firmly the clamp bites the grip. Counter clockwise opens it, clockwise closes it, and it turns by hand, so you can tighten it again whenever the hold feels loose.
Universal fit: Fits over heated grips and is used on bikes such as Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha, examples, not a full list. Before fitting, check your brake lever has room for the flat tip to cross a few millimeters over its front.
Two silicone rings included: A ring slides onto the throttle grip first and gives the clamp something to bite, which matters most on a metal or hard aftermarket grip. The second is a spare, or leave one on each of two bikes and move just the clamp.
Position, not speed: The Easy Cruise holds the throttle where you set it rather than regulating speed. On level road the speed stays put, you gain a little downhill and lose a little uphill, so trim it by rolling on or off and disengage on descents.
Installs with no tools: Slide a ring onto the throttle grip, slide the Easy Cruise over it from the top or the side, then set the tension gear so the clamp holds the grip firmly without making the throttle hard to turn. Nothing to bolt on.
Two ways to engage: Roll the throttle to the speed you want, then press the body down with your index finger, or rotate it down with your thumb, until the flat tip crosses the front of the brake lever. That contact is what holds the position.
Two ways to release: Roll the throttle forward, the way you would to slow down, and the Easy Cruise lifts clear on its own. You can also push the tab back up by hand to take it off the brake lever.
Material and weight: Moulded from a wear and impact resistant nylon resin that does not rust, 40 g (1.4 ounces) and 13.6 cm (5.3 inches) long. Black body, silver tension gear.
Before you buy: This is a friction hold, not electronic cruise control. If the hold feels loose, tighten the tension gear again. Keep your hands on the handlebars, get familiar with it before relying on it, and roll forward when you need to slow.
