Product Description

The UPONOR q4395075 is a brass baseboard tee fitting designed for hydronic heating systems where a branch connection to a baseboard element is required. It features an F1960 PEX expansion connection on one end and a sweat (solder) connection on the other, allowing transitions between PEX tubing and copper in a single fitting. Sized at 1/2 inch by 3/4 inch, this tee is suited for low-temperature hot water distribution in residential and light commercial baseboard heating applications. Licensed plumbers and hydronic heating technicians are the primary installers of this fitting.

This fitting is used in baseboard heating installations where PEX supply or return lines interface with copper baseboard elements. The F1960 connection follows the ASTM F1960 cold-expansion PEX joining standard, and the sweat end accommodates standard copper tubing. Typical installations include fin-tube baseboard convectors fed by a boiler system. It is appropriate for both new construction and retrofit hydronic jobs where mixed PEX and copper piping is present.

Key Features

Brass construction for durability and corrosion resistance in hydronic systems
F1960 cold-expansion PEX end for reliable, tool-based PEX connections
Sweat end compatible with standard copper tubing using solder jointing
1/2 inch by 3/4 inch sizing for baseboard branch connections
Compact tee configuration designed specifically for baseboard heating layout
Lightweight at 0.32 pounds for easy handling during installation

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style fitting for UPONOR F1960 PEX expansion systems connected to copper baseboard heating elements in residential and light commercial hydronic installations.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or hydronic heating technician. Shut off the boiler and depressurize the system before cutting into any supply or return lines. The F1960 expansion end requires the appropriate expansion tool and ring; the sweat end requires standard soldering equipment and flux rated for potable or heating system use. Follow local plumbing codes, which may reference IPC or IFGC standards, for approved joining methods and pressure testing after installation.
