Product Description

The MERIT BRASS 8834165255 is a Type II quick-change silicon carbide cloth abrasive disc designed for sanding and finishing work on non-ferrous metals and masonry. At 2 inches in diameter with an 80 grit rating, this disc delivers aggressive stock removal with a sharp, cool-cutting action that resists loading and minimizes heat transfer to the workpiece. The cloth backing provides flexibility and durability, allowing the disc to conform to contoured surfaces under high-pressure conditions. Metal fabricators, automotive technicians, and maintenance professionals rely on this disc for consistent, repeatable results across production environments.

This disc is suited for use on aluminum, brass, bronze, stone, and similar non-ferrous or masonry materials. The Type II quick-change attachment system allows tool-free disc swaps, reducing downtime in high-volume grinding and finishing operations. Typical applications include metal fabrication shops, automotive body and repair work, and general industrial maintenance where a sharp, fast-cutting abrasive is required on soft or abrasive-sensitive materials.
