Product Description

The LG adx72930499 is a genuine OEM door gasket assembly designed to restore an airtight seal on LG refrigerator doors. The gasket forms a flexible perimeter seal between the door and the cabinet, preventing warm air infiltration and maintaining proper cabinet temperature. When the original gasket tears, hardens, or loses its magnetic closure, cabinet temperatures rise and compressor run time increases. This is a direct OEM replacement sourced from LG, ensuring correct fit and seal geometry without modification. Installation is typically performed by appliance repair technicians or experienced service personnel.

This door gasket assembly is used in residential LG refrigerator applications where the original door seal has degraded. A failed door gasket causes condensation on interior walls, frost buildup in frost-free models, elevated energy consumption, and inconsistent compartment temperatures. Replacing the gasket restores proper thermal performance and is one of the more common service calls in residential refrigerator repair.

Installation Notes

Installation is typically performed by a qualified appliance repair technician. Before beginning, disconnect the refrigerator from power and allow the compartment to reach ambient temperature if frost is present. The gasket is generally retained by the door liner or a retainer strip and may require a putty knife or nut driver for removal. Consult the LG service manual for the specific model to confirm the correct removal and seating procedure.
