Product Description

The ABB E1601/212 is a galvanized beam clamp designed to secure conduit, cable tray, and related electrical support systems to structural steel beams. The galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance in damp or outdoor-rated installations, making this clamp suitable for industrial, commercial, and utility environments. At 1.4 pounds, it is a sturdy, hardware-grade fitting intended for installation by licensed electricians and electrical contractors. The 1/2-inch sizing accommodates standard threaded rod or fastener configurations used in conduit hanger assemblies.

This beam clamp is used in commercial and industrial electrical installations where conduit runs or support channels must be anchored to I-beams, H-beams, or similar structural steel members. It is appropriate for use in exposed conduit systems, cable management runs, and strut-supported assemblies found in mechanical rooms, warehouses, and utility corridors. The galvanized construction suits both interior and exterior applications where moisture exposure is a concern.

Key Features

Galvanized finish for corrosion resistance in damp and outdoor-rated environments
1/2-inch fitting size for compatibility with standard threaded rod hanger systems
Sturdy steel construction rated for structural beam attachment
Compact form factor suitable for tight beam flange clearances
Designed for use in conduit support and cable management assemblies

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit beam clamp for 1/2-inch threaded rod conduit support systems used in commercial and industrial electrical installations.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits in the work area before beginning installation of support hardware. Ensure the beam flange is clean and free of debris before seating the clamp, and verify that the clamp is fully engaged on the flange before applying load. Do not exceed the rated load capacity of the clamp or the threaded rod assembly.
