Product Description

The ABB E997F-CAR is a 1-inch PVC bell end fitting used to terminate and protect the open end of PVC electrical conduit runs. This fitting creates a smooth, flared entry point that prevents wire and cable insulation from being cut or abraded during pull-through. It is a standard component in conduit roughing work for residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical installations. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting as part of NEC-compliant conduit systems wherever exposed conduit ends require protection.

This bell end fitting is suited for use with 1-inch schedule 40 and schedule 80 PVC conduit in both underground and above-grade applications. Typical install scenarios include panel feeds, in-wall rough-in, slab or trench conduit runs, and service entrance conduit terminations. The fitting slips over the cut end of the conduit to form a smooth bell-mouth profile, reducing friction and protecting conductors during wire pulls.

Key Features

1-inch trade size fits standard PVC conduit of that nominal diameter
PVC construction resists moisture, corrosion, and common chemical exposure
Flared bell profile protects wire insulation from sharp conduit edges during pulls
Lightweight and easy to install without special tools
Compatible with both schedule 40 and schedule 80 PVC conduit systems

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement fitting for 1-inch PVC electrical conduit systems in residential and commercial wiring applications.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by a licensed electrician as part of a conduit wiring system in accordance with NEC requirements. De-energize any nearby circuits before pulling conductors through the conduit run. Seat the bell end fully over the cut conduit end before beginning any wire pull. No adhesive or solvent cement is required for a standard bell end installation, but follow applicable local code if permanent attachment is specified.
