Product Description

The IO HVAC CONTROLS MD-1412-BM is a rectangular two-position zone damper designed for ducted HVAC zoning systems. Measuring 14 inches wide by 12 inches tall, it uses a Belimo three-wire actuator mounted to the bottom of the damper body. Two-position operation means the damper blade moves fully open or fully closed on a 24-volt control signal, making it straightforward to integrate with most residential and light commercial zone control boards. The unit ships at 8 pounds and fits within an 18 by 17 by 8 inch package envelope. Licensed HVAC technicians are the typical installers for this type of component.

This damper is suited for residential and light commercial forced-air zoning applications where individual zones require independent airflow control. It installs directly into rectangular sheet metal ductwork of matching dimensions. The bottom-mount actuator position is useful in installations where overhead or side access is limited. Typical use cases include multi-zone split systems, air handler zoning retrofits, and new construction zoning layouts where a dedicated zone control panel manages open and close commands.

Key Features

14 x 12 inch rectangular damper body fits standard rectangular ductwork of matching size
Belimo three-wire actuator provides reliable two-position open/close control
Bottom-mount actuator configuration suits installs with limited side or top clearance
Two-position operation simplifies wiring to zone control boards
Compact packaged dimensions at 18 x 17 x 8 inches for easier jobsite handling

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style zone damper for use in rectangular ducted zoning systems that accept a Belimo three-wire actuator on a 24-volt control circuit.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician following local mechanical codes. Shut down the air handler and de-energize the control circuit before mounting the damper or making any wiring connections. The damper must be installed with the airflow direction matching the arrow or labeling on the damper body. Verify duct dimensions match the 14 by 12 inch damper opening before cutting into existing ductwork.
