Product Description

The IO HVAC CONTROLS TD-2214-BM is a rectangular zone damper engineered for use in residential and light commercial HVAC zoning systems. Sized at 22 x 14 inches, this damper controls airflow within a duct zone by opening or closing on demand from a zone control panel. It ships with a Belimo 3-wire actuator mounted on the bottom of the damper body, providing a 60-second cycle time for smooth, reliable zone modulation. Licensed HVAC technicians install this component as part of a multi-zone forced-air system where independent temperature control is required across different areas of a building.

This damper is designed for rectangular duct applications and is sized to match Trane and American Standard duct configurations at 22 x 14 inches. The bottom-mount Belimo actuator makes it well suited for installations where top or side access to the actuator is limited. It fits into typical residential zoning retrofits and new construction applications where a zone control board drives multiple dampers via low-voltage signals. The 60-second actuator cycle time aligns with standard zone controller timing requirements common in residential and light commercial systems.

Key Features

22 x 14 inch rectangular duct damper sized for Trane and American Standard duct systems
Includes Belimo 3-wire actuator for reliable, low-voltage zone control integration
Bottom-mount actuator configuration for installations with restricted side or top clearance
60-second actuator cycle time compatible with standard residential zone control board timing
Package dimensions of 21 x 8 x 26 inches accommodate standard shipping and jobsite handling

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-install zone damper for Trane and American Standard rectangular duct systems at the 22 x 14 inch duct size.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician familiar with forced-air zoning systems. Power down the zone control panel and air handler before making any wiring connections to the Belimo actuator. The 3-wire actuator connects to the zone controller via low-voltage wiring; follow the zone control board manufacturer's wiring diagram for open, close, and common terminals. Ensure the damper is installed with the airflow direction arrow aligned correctly and that the duct connection is properly sealed to prevent bypass leakage.
