Product Description

The ABB G1503S is a straight joiner fitting designed to connect and extend sections of 1-1/2 inch strut channel in a flush, in-line configuration. This hardware fitting maintains structural continuity between strut runs, keeping cable tray, conduit, and equipment support systems properly aligned. It is used in electrical and mechanical installations where strut channel must be spliced end-to-end without offset. Electricians and mechanical contractors install this fitting as part of larger support assemblies in commercial, industrial, and utility construction projects.

The G1503S is suited for use with standard 1-1/2 inch steel strut channel in overhead and wall-mounted support systems. Typical applications include support runs for conduit bundles, cable trays, pipe hangers, and HVAC equipment in commercial buildings and industrial facilities. The straight joiner keeps the channel profile continuous, allowing hardware and fittings to slide freely across the splice point.

Key Features

Connects two sections of 1-1/2 inch strut channel in a straight, in-line configuration
Maintains channel profile continuity across splice joints
Compatible with standard strut channel hardware and fittings at the splice point
Substantial build weight supports structural load distribution across the joint

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style fitting for standard 1-1/2 inch steel strut channel support systems used in electrical and mechanical construction applications.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by licensed electricians or mechanical contractors in accordance with applicable NEC and local building codes. De-energize any circuits supported by the strut assembly before modifying or extending the channel run. Secure the joiner with the appropriate strut bolts and hardware torqued per the hardware manufacturer's published specifications. Inspect the completed splice for alignment and tight hardware seating before loading the support system.
