Product Description

The IO HVAC CONTROLS RM-1610-BM is a rectangular zone damper designed for residential and light commercial HVAC zoning systems. It features a bottom-mount configuration and integrates a 3-wire Belimo actuator with a 35-second drive time, allowing precise airflow control in ducted systems. The damper body measures 16 inches by 10 inches and is built to handle the airflow demands of forced-air systems where multiple zones require independent temperature management. Licensed HVAC technicians install this as part of a zoning control system, typically alongside a zone control board and individual zone thermostats.

This damper is suited for rectangular duct applications in forced-air heating and cooling systems where bottom-mount actuator placement is required by the duct layout or access constraints. The 3-wire actuator wiring configuration supports both spring-return and power-open operation signaling, making it compatible with standard residential zoning control boards. Typical installations include multi-zone residential systems, light commercial applications, and retrofit zoning projects where the duct opening is 16 inches wide by 10 inches tall.

Key Features

16 inch by 10 inch rectangular damper body sized for standard duct openings
Bottom-mount actuator design for installations with restricted side or top access
Integrated Belimo actuator with 35-second drive time for smooth, controlled airflow modulation
3-wire actuator connection compatible with standard zone control board outputs
Package dimensions of 18 inches wide by 17 inches tall by 8 inches deep for storage and shipping reference

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation zone damper for rectangular duct zoning systems using 3-wire actuator-compatible zone control boards.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician. De-energize the HVAC system and zone control board at the disconnect or breaker before wiring or mounting the damper. Secure the damper into the duct opening per standard sheet metal practices and route low-voltage wiring in accordance with NEC guidelines for Class 2 circuits. Do not force the actuator arm manually, as this can damage the actuator gear train.
