Product Description

The OXBOX mot16141 is a PSC (Permanent Split Capacitor) condenser fan motor rated at 1/3 HP, designed for use in residential and light commercial HVAC equipment. PSC motors are a standard motor type in air-cooled condensing units, moving air across the condenser coil to reject heat from the refrigerant circuit. The single-shaft configuration drives a fan blade directly from one end of the motor. Licensed HVAC technicians typically handle replacement of this component as part of routine condenser service or system repair.

This motor is suited for condenser fan applications where a PSC-type, single-shaft motor at the 1/3 HP rating is required. It is commonly installed in rooftop units, split-system condensing units, and packaged equipment that rely on PSC fan motors for airflow across the coil. The single-shaft design is the standard configuration for most residential condenser fan assemblies.

Key Features

1/3 HP output rating suitable for condenser fan duty
PSC motor type for reliable single-speed operation
Single-shaft configuration for direct fan blade mounting
OEM-style replacement form factor for condenser fan applications

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement condenser fan motor for residential and light commercial HVAC condensing units requiring a 1/3 HP PSC single-shaft motor.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power to the unit before removing the existing motor. Verify that the replacement motor shaft diameter, rotation direction, and mounting configuration match the original before completing the installation. Refer to the equipment manufacturer service documentation and applicable local codes when completing the repair.
