Product Description

The KAWASAKI 39129-0043 is a governor spring designed for use in Kawasaki small engines. The governor spring is a critical component in the engine speed control system, connecting the governor arm to the throttle linkage to regulate engine RPM under varying load conditions. It maintains tension in the governor assembly so the engine responds correctly to changes in load. Small engine technicians and outdoor power equipment service shops handle this replacement as part of governor system rebuilds or when inspecting engines that hunt, surge, or fail to hold a steady speed.

This governor spring is intended for use in Kawasaki-branded small engines commonly found in lawn and garden equipment, including walk-behind mowers, riding mowers, and other turf and grounds maintenance machinery. It is a direct OEM replacement part sourced from the Kawasaki parts and accessories line. Applications are limited to engine platforms that call out part number 39129-0043 in the factory parts diagram. Technicians should verify fitment against the engine model and serial number before ordering.

Key Features

OEM Kawasaki replacement part for accurate fit and governor function
Maintains governor arm and throttle linkage tension for stable RPM regulation
Designed for small engine governor systems subject to load-induced speed variation
Direct replacement for worn, stretched, or broken governor springs

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement governor spring for Kawasaki small engines. Verify compatibility using the engine model number and parts diagram before installation, as fitment is specific to engines that reference part number 39129-0043.

Installation Notes

Installation is typically performed by a small engine technician or qualified outdoor power equipment mechanic. Disengage the spark plug wire and allow the engine to cool completely before beginning any governor system service. Governor spring orientation and linkage routing must be restored exactly to the original configuration to ensure proper speed control behavior. Consult the Kawasaki engine service manual for the specific engine model before reassembling the governor linkage.
