Product Description

The WHIRLPOOL wp61003071 is a genuine OEM defrost heater bracket designed for use in Whirlpool refrigeration appliances. This bracket serves as a mounting and retention component for the defrost heater assembly within the evaporator compartment. It helps keep the heater element properly positioned during the defrost cycle, which is critical for consistent evaporator performance and frost-free operation. Installation is typically performed by an appliance repair technician as part of a defrost system service or component replacement procedure.

This bracket is suited for residential refrigerator and freezer applications where the original defrost heater bracket has become damaged, broken, or degraded. It is a direct OEM replacement sourced from Whirlpool, ensuring correct fit and function within the evaporator section of compatible units. Technicians replacing defrost heater assemblies will often address the bracket at the same time to ensure the full assembly is restored to factory specification.
