Product Description

The IO HVAC CONTROLS RM-1810-BM is a rectangular zone damper designed for use in zoned forced-air HVAC systems. It ships with a 35-second Belimo actuator wired in a 3-wire configuration, giving the system controller direct open and close control. The damper uses a bottom mount design, which positions the actuator on the underside of the duct for clearance in tight installations. The unit measures 18 inches wide by 10 inches in duct opening size and weighs 8.73 pounds. Licensed HVAC technicians and sheet metal contractors are the primary installers of this component.

This zone damper is suited for residential and light-commercial zoned HVAC installations where individual zones require independent airflow control. The bottom mount actuator orientation makes it practical for horizontal duct runs where side or top clearance is limited. The included Belimo actuator eliminates the need to source and match a separate actuator to the damper blade, simplifying the installation workflow on new construction and retrofit zoning projects.

Key Features

Rectangular damper sized for an 18-inch by 10-inch duct opening
Bottom mount actuator placement suits horizontal duct runs with limited top clearance
Included 35-second Belimo actuator provides reliable, consistent blade travel
3-wire actuator wiring supports direct open and close control from a zone controller
Ships as a complete damper-and-actuator assembly, reducing parts sourcing on the job

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation zone damper for residential and light-commercial forced-air zoning systems using rectangular duct with an 18-inch by 10-inch opening and a 3-wire zone controller.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician following applicable mechanical codes. Power down the air handler and zone control panel before making any wiring connections to the actuator. Verify duct opening dimensions and confirm adequate clearance below the duct for the bottom mount actuator before final positioning. Follow the actuator manufacturer wiring diagram for the 3-wire connection to the zone controller.
