Renishaw RGS20‑S Linear Tape Scale
（Each 1 m product is individually packed in a bag for shipment）
Product Overview

The Renishaw RGS20‑S is a reflective gold‑plated steel incremental tape scale widely used with Renishaw RG2 readheads including the RGH22, RGH24, RGH25 and RGH26 to build high‑performance non‑contact linear encoder systems. It is a flexible self‑adhesive tape scale for precision position feedback in machine tools, automation stages, semiconductor equipment and metrology instruments. The protective lacquer coating safeguards the reflective grating layer from contamination during installation and routine operation.

Key Features

1. 20 μm grating pitch, optimized for Renishaw RG2 series readheads, supports high‑resolution position measurement
2. Reflective gold‑plated steel substrate delivers excellent signal reflectivity and stable optical performance
3. Built‑in self‑adhesive backing for fast, direct bonding onto the machine substrate; suitable for mass production and field retrofitting
4. Can be supplied in rolls, users cut the tape to the required length on‑site, reducing inventory burden
5. Ultra‑thin low‑profile design, easy to integrate into compact machine structures
6. Protective lacquer coating prevents scratches and contamination of the patterned grating surface
7. Matches many common engineering substrates when secured with end clamps to minimize thermal expansion mismatch error
