Product Description

The IO HVAC CONTROLS MD-2208-BM is a rectangular two-position zone damper sized at 22 inches wide by 8 inches tall, fitted with a Belimo three-wire actuator in a bottom-mount configuration. Zone dampers are the primary airflow control devices in multi-zone forced-air HVAC systems, opening and closing to direct conditioned air to specific areas of a structure. The bottom-mount actuator placement simplifies access in tight duct runs. Licensed HVAC technicians install this damper as part of a zoning system controlled by a zone control board, thermostat, or building automation panel.

This damper is suited for residential and light commercial forced-air zoning applications where rectangular ductwork is used. It fits inline in a rectangular duct section measuring 22 inches by 8 inches. The Belimo three-wire actuator provides reliable spring-return or powered operation depending on control wiring, making it appropriate for standard two-position zone control strategies where full-open and full-closed are the only required positions.

Key Features

22 x 8 inch rectangular duct sizing for direct inline installation
Two-position operation for straightforward open/closed zone control
Belimo three-wire actuator for dependable, industry-proven actuation
Bottom-mount actuator configuration for easier access in confined spaces
Designed for multi-zone forced-air residential and light commercial systems

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation zone damper for rectangular duct systems requiring a 22 x 8 inch two-position damper with a Belimo three-wire actuator.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician familiar with forced-air zoning systems and low-voltage control wiring. Power down the air handler and de-energize all low-voltage control circuits before installation. Secure the damper in the duct run per the manufacturer instructions and verify proper airflow direction before finalizing connections. Control wiring should comply with NEC low-voltage wiring requirements and the zone control board manufacturer specifications.
