This is a new Miniature Low-Tension coil specifically built for your SCALE MODEL hit and Miss Gas Engine with a normally open Ignitor. This is not for an engine with a "SPARKPLUG" or a "NORMALLY CLOSED IGNITOR". Check your application before purchasing. This miniature coil uses no electronics and measures 1.5" tall 1.5" Wide and approximately 2.75" Long so it will fit nicely in your small battery box along with the Dewalt Battery kit that we include with this coil.

We have run numerous tests with this coil and have come up with this final product. We found it can be used on the scale models, and we even tested it on 1hp up to a 4hp full size Hit & Miss Gas Engine. It ran the full-size engines as well as the scale model engines just fine when used with a Dewalt 18 or 20 volt battery. So, we have included this Dewalt Battery Adaptor kit which has an Off-On switch, plus the software pictured. No Battery is included! You have to supply your own Battery!

This coil can also be used by a student for a Science Fair Project to demonstrate how electricity & magnetism work hand in hand and can't work without the other.
As any electrical device, this coil can produce a shock that can result in a reflex that may cause a person mild injury due to his/her reflex movement.
The terminals are Brass and we left the screws long so if a person wants to clip alligator clips to them they can or they can just put eyelets on the wires and unscrew the thumbnuts to insert the wires.

This coil is wound with constant tension on the 100% copper wire. Wood ends are solid Oak; connection terminals are Brass. Brass hex nuts are used to hold the terminals tight, and the nuts are countersunk to keep them out of sight, giving the coil a better appearance.
The iron core is of air-craft grade metal and was sprayed with an insulative material and allowed to dry before the first layer of wire was put on. Each layer of wire has a high temperature rated insulative material between them. All of our coils are tested before the outer cover is installed.
