Description

📝 Original 1981 Structural Engineering Blueprint / Shop Drawing

Offered here is an unusual original engineering drawing prepared by Endure Aluminum Products Inc. of Miami, Florida for a 2-Story Building at Hill A.F.B., Egypt.

The drawing is titled “Structural Deck Plan & Bill of Materials” and is Sheet 2 of 14. It was originally drafted on November 30, 1981, and later bears a signed and embossed professional engineer seal dated April 8, 1982.

This is a detailed working construction drawing rather than a modern reproduction. It contains the deck layout, structural dimensions, fastener locations, fabrication details, design loads, and an extensive bill of materials.

A fascinating piece of Cold War-era military construction, architectural, engineering, and Middle East aviation history, especially interesting because it connects a Miami-based aluminum fabrication company with a U.S. Air Force-related construction project in Egypt.

Notes

⚠️ This listing is for the single original drawing shown in the photographs, not the complete 14-sheet plan set.

The document has been folded for storage for many years and shows substantial vintage character including browning along fold lines and edges. No attempt has been made to clean, flatten, restore, or alter it.

The signed/embossed engineering area is particularly interesting for collectors of original architectural and engineering documents.

Shipping

🚚 Drawing will be carefully packaged to help protect it during shipment. Because it is already historically folded, it may be shipped folded along its existing original fold lines unless otherwise arranged.
