Product Description

The ELECTROLUX 8581341966035 is a dryer drive motor with an integrated pulley assembly, designed as a direct replacement component for Electrolux residential dryers. The drive motor is the primary mechanical component responsible for rotating the drum during drying cycles. When this motor fails, the drum stops turning, leaving clothes wet regardless of heat output. This part ships with the pulley already mounted, which simplifies the swap and reduces the number of loose components a technician needs to handle during the repair.

This drive motor is intended for use in residential electric or gas dryers manufactured under the Electrolux brand. It is typically installed by appliance repair technicians during drum rotation failure diagnosis, though experienced DIYers with basic mechanical skills also perform this repair. The integrated pulley design makes it a straightforward drop-in replacement in applications where the original motor and pulley are serviced together as an assembly.

Installation Notes

Appliance repair technicians typically perform this replacement. Disconnect the dryer from its power source and, for gas models, shut off the gas supply before beginning disassembly. The drum, belt, and front or rear panel will need to be removed to access the motor mount. Confirm the belt is routed correctly around the new pulley before reassembling the cabinet.
