Product Description

The ABB hk1-11 is a single-pole auxiliary contact block rated for use in auxiliary circuits across a wide range of industrial control applications. Carrying a voltage rating of 690 VAC and 600 VDC with a 1-amp current capacity, this contact features a 1NO-1NC configuration that allows it to signal both open and closed states simultaneously. The screw terminal connection provides a secure, vibration-resistant termination suited to panel and enclosure wiring. An IP20 ingress protection rating guards internal components against solid objects while the unit operates reliably across a temperature range of -25 to 60 degrees C. Licensed electricians and industrial controls technicians are the primary installers.

The hk1-11 is designed for auxiliary circuit duty, making it appropriate for motor starters, contactors, and control relay assemblies in both commercial and light industrial settings. It is well suited for panel builders wiring interlocking, status signaling, and control logic circuits where a compact, low-profile contact block is required. The narrow 9-millimeter width allows dense mounting in tight enclosures without sacrificing terminal accessibility.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the NEC and any applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the control panel before mounting or wiring this contact block. Screw terminals should be tightened with an appropriate flat-blade screwdriver to the enclosure or starter manufacturer's recommended terminal torque specification. Verify the IP20 rating is sufficient for the installation environment before final commissioning.
