Product Description

The JB INDUSTRIES a31736 is a 1/4-inch access valve used in refrigerant line servicing and HVAC system maintenance. Access valves of this type provide a secure service port connection, allowing technicians to attach manifold gauge sets, vacuum pumps, or refrigerant charging equipment to pressurized systems. The a31736 is an OEM-style replacement part suited to field service work across a broad range of residential and light commercial refrigeration and air conditioning applications. HVAC technicians rely on access valves like this one to safely access refrigerant circuits without full system disassembly.

This valve is used in refrigerant service procedures where a 1/4-inch connection port is required. It is appropriate for installation on suction or liquid line service ports during system commissioning, refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and recharge operations. The 1/4-inch connection size is the standard fitting dimension used with most manifold gauge hose sets found in HVAC field service kits. Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians working on split systems, package units, and refrigeration equipment.

Key Features

1/4-inch connection size compatible with standard HVAC manifold gauge hose fittings
OEM replacement part for direct service application
Designed for use in refrigerant circuit access and service procedures
Compact valve construction for installation in tight service port locations

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement access valve for HVAC and refrigeration systems requiring a 1/4-inch service port connection.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or refrigeration mechanic in accordance with applicable local codes and EPA Section 608 refrigerant handling regulations. Recover all refrigerant from the system before replacing or repositioning any access valve fitting. Ensure fittings are torque-seated to a leak-free connection and verify with an electronic leak detector before returning the system to service.
