Product Description

The ABB AF49SD is a replacement filter front panel designed for surface-mount filter applications measuring 49.5 x 20 inches. This component serves as the front-facing retention or cover panel for a filter assembly, providing a secure interface between the filter media and the enclosure or housing it protects. It is commonly installed by HVAC technicians, electricians, or panel fabricators working on electrical enclosures or air-handling equipment that require accessible filter fronts. At 23 pounds, it is a substantial panel suited for commercial or industrial installations where durable filter housing components are required.

The AF49SD is applicable in surface-mount configurations where a 49.5 x 20 inch filter front is specified. This type of component is typically found in electrical enclosures, control panels, or ventilated equipment cabinets that use filtered air intake to protect internal components. Installation is performed during enclosure assembly or as part of a service replacement when an existing filter front is damaged or worn.

Installation Notes

Installation is typically performed by licensed electricians or qualified panel technicians. De-energize all associated equipment and follow applicable NFPA 70 (NEC) lockout/tagout procedures before servicing the enclosure or cabinet.
