Product Description

The WHIRLPOOL W11733848 is a stator assembly designed for use in Whirlpool washing machines. The stator is the stationary electromagnetic component of the direct-drive motor, working in conjunction with the rotor to generate the rotational force that drives the wash basket. When the stator fails, the machine may lose spin function entirely or operate erratically. This part is typically installed by appliance repair technicians and experienced DIYers comfortable working with direct-drive motor systems.

This stator is intended for residential Whirlpool washing machine applications. It fits direct-drive motor configurations commonly found in front-load and top-load washer platforms. Installation is required when the existing stator shows signs of winding failure, burn damage, or motor fault codes that trace back to the stator assembly. Refer to the service manual for the specific model to confirm fitment before ordering.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a qualified appliance repair technician. Disconnect power to the washing machine at the circuit breaker or by unplugging the unit before beginning any disassembly. The stator is typically accessed by removing the rotor first; handle the rotor magnet carefully to avoid injury and keep it away from sensitive electronics. Follow the model-specific service manual for torque and reassembly sequence guidance.
